Jammer's Breeders

Bryndir is built around our foundation stud dog, Jammer. He is a flashy tri-color dog who came to Bryndir from Cathy Ochs-Cline's well-known and highly respected Vestavia kennel in Reston, VA. Cathy has been breeding wonderful quality Cardigans for many years. Cathy bred Jammer's litter with Kim Rauber whose Coedwig kennel has produced some notable Cardigans.

Temperament

In addition to being Diana's best buddy and constant companion, Jammer has proven himself both in the show ring, in temperament tests, herding instinct tests, and as an outstanding sire. 

Jammer finished his American Kennel Club (AKC) Champion title easily shown by Diana, his owner/handler. Jammer's excellent temperament and loving personality have earned him Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Therapy Dog International (TDI) titles. 

Herding Instinct

Jammer has also scored very high on his Herding Instinct Tests at both the 2001 and 2002 CWCCA National Specialty dog shows (not bad for a couch potato who'd never seen a sheep in his life). Jammer's score sheets from his herding instinct test are impressive. He received a Herding Instinct Certificate at both the 2001 & 2002 CWCCA National Specialty dog shows. 

I'm sure that Jammer could easily achieve AKC herding titles -- if I had the time and facilities/livestock to train him. I took some photos of Jammer herding at the CWCCA Natl Specialty in KY in 2001. His son, Sinatra, owned by Carolyn Crighton-Fricke has done very well in the herding trials and received several titles. 

Awards & Recognition

Jammer has received two Awards of Merit (AOM) at the CWCCA National Specialty dog shows. The first AOM in the year 2000 and the second in 2001. He has also been recognized in the CWCCA Megan Competition three times as the Best Black Dog in the years 1999, 2000, and 2002.  

Jammer's offspring have done very well in the show ring and performance events. Their titles and achievments have earned Jammer a Bronze Level Register of Merit (ROM-B). Jammer has been bred selectively and only a few times and already has 18 titled offspring.
