Important Notice about Bryndir Puppies

The purpose of my puppy web page is to showcase my puppies. However, it is important that you understand that it is not my intention to advertise my puppies for SALE. I consider the placement of my puppies as adoptions. If, after interviewing you, I don't believe you would be a fit parent for one of my puppies, you will not be eligible to adopt one. 

Here are a few important things you should know about Bryndir puppies:

• Each puppy's general health is guaranteed.
• Other guarantees are stated in my Puppy Contract (link coming soon).
• Puppies are temperament tested and matched with adoptive parents whose lifestyles and desires are compatible with each puppy's test results.
• Puppies are sold only to pre-qualified (screened) buyers.
• All long-distance puppy buyers are required to fill out a questionnaire and meet my requirements.
• Deposits are taken only after puppies are born. Other interested parties will be put on a waiting list. For this reason, deposits are non-refundable unless, for some unforeseen reason, the puppy is not available for delivery.
• Pet puppies are sold only on Limited Registration -- without exception.  
• Pet puppies will be altered (spayed or neutered) before they are placed--no exceptions.

Here are some other important facts about Bryndir puppies:

• All Bryndir Cardigans are healthy, happy, well-socialized animals.
• All parents are top quality animals or they are not included in my breeding program.
• All breeding stock is screened for hip dysplasia, eye checked (CERF), and DNA tested or certified through their parents to be from from progressive retinal atrophy (PRA - an inherited genetic disorder).
• All Bryndir puppies are socialized and temperament tested.
• Puppies are handled constantly and socialized from birth.
• Puppies are guaranteed for good health, and to be free from inherited defects and temperament defects.
• All puppies are given equal time and attention -- whether they are pet or show-potential quality.
• All of my dogs are beloved housepets and members of my family. I expect any puppy you adopt from me to be treated the same way.
• Whether a puppy is to be a pet or a show dog, I require that they be housepets and not kennel-dogs, nor full-time outside/doghouse/backyard dogs.
• I encourage early socialization and obedience training for all of my puppies.
• I take responsibility for all Bryndir puppies for their entire life. I require that the buyer must first offer to return to me any Bryndir puppy (at any age) before the buyer attempts to sell or give a Bryndir puppy (or adult dog) away to somebody else.
