Week 9 Report
The puppies are spending a lot of time playing outside in
the mornings before it gets too hot. They are taking naps in their crates,
but still haven't quite figured out that it's not OK to relieve themselves
in the kitchen or den. We try to put them outside when they whimper and
encourage them to do their business outside. It is a slow process.
Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, Diana and
Richard are up a lot at night tending to their new human baby, 2-week-old
Sean. So, the puppies usually have several opportunities during the night
to go out to use the bathroom. Hopefully, this will speed up the
housetraining process.
The pups are learning to run and romp outside. They are
still a little uncoordinated and stumble over twigs and things like that
quite often. They try to follow momma Clover when she chases squirrels.
Murphy's ears are coming up on their own. His ears stay up most of the
time, but sort of fold over when he's tired. Dumble's and Dobby's ears are
starting to come up too. Both of their right ears are starting to
stand up.
Diana weighed the puppies again this week. They are
growing like weeds. Here are their weights:
